Keratosis Pilaris

Keratosis pilaris is a genetic condition that can develop in early childhood and wax and wane throughout life. The commonest site is on the upper outer arms, but it could also be extensive involving the trunk, limbs and face. Keratosis pilaris presents as tiny red or skin coloured bumps on the affected area. Creams containing urea, salicylic acid , glycolic acid and lactic acid help to break down excess keratin and decrease the appearance of this condition.
